The McRib will return to *participating markets* by mid-November, which delights many. Like other limited offerings (Cookies and Creme pie, Spicy McNuggets, etc.), this will not be in every market but will satisfy fans.

I'm still confused how a Farewell Tour can be just a year, but I don't think fans are going to care all that much.

This week, McDonald's confirmed to TODAY that Instagram user "Snackolator"'s suspicions that the McRib would return for a limited time in November were real.

The McRib, one of McDonald's most popular sandwiches, ceased in 2022.

"If consumers think there is a shortage of a product, or that it won't be around for long, they will rush out to get it,"

McDonald's scarcity marketing strategy is simple: people want what they can't have, which for some is a barbecue sauce-covered boneless pork burger on a toasty bun with dill pickles and onions.
