After numerous requests from fans, Oreo is finally bringing back a cookie with a vibrant, cake-flavored flavor.
On September 7, Oreo announced via social media that its "most-requested flavor by fans," Red Velvet, would return for a limited time.
First time since 2020, Oreo's Limited-Edition Red Velvet Sandwich Cookies will hit store shelves on September 12.
Red Velvet Oreos are only available while supplies last, so if you're a devotee of the red cookie, you should probably hurry.
Oreo says the cookies will “feature the familiar taste fans know and love,” or cream cheese-flavored creme between two red velvet cookies.
After three years without Red Velvet Oreos, fans have been lobbying the cookie brand to bring them back, as they have with Cotton Candy and S'moreos.
“@Oreo pls bring back the red velvet oreos. It wasn’t the same when they left,” tweeted one person in 2022.
“They need to bring back the red velvet oreos omg,” tweeted another person in February.
